Match Play Tournament

One of the fun traditions of the LJGA is the annual Match Play Tournament, which started almost 40 years ago. The tournament starts in late spring with a bracket of 16 players. One-on-one matches with full handicaps continue during the summer, with the semifinals and final matches taking place in the fall. The fortunate finalists usually play at great courses such as Olympic Club Lake Course or Spyglass Hill. The friendly competition and camaraderie is great fun for all who participate. The winner takes home the stylish perpetual trophy and is awarded 300 points toward the Player of the Year/ Bridgett Trophy Competition. The first recorded winner was Treasurer Peter Mankin in 1987 and Co-President Thomas Brooks is a three-time winner. 

Player of the Year Race

The winner of the year-long points race takes home the Art Bridgett Trophy.  The Leaderboard shows the year-to-date rankings for all club members, based on the following statistical categories: Total Points, Average Gross Score, Average Net Score, Low Gross Score (YTD) and Low Net Score (YTD).
